Optimising your title tags is one of the fundamental precepts of on-page SEO. You can see the title tag at the top left of your browser window when you view any web page. It is also used as the clickable headline text on search engine results pages (SERPS).
The title tag is included within the head section of a page's HTML code as shown below:

Alt tags allow you to add text snippets within your HTML code to describe img on your website. Search engines, of course, cannot see img so the alt tag helps them understand what the image represents.
